Life gives us many chances to learn the meaning,
But it rarely gives us a chance to explain it.
Happy days are here again. Festival season, a season of lamps and lights, sparkling city and sparkling citizens. Again city has adopted a new look, a new expression and a new life style. Again those crowded markets with colorful wishes and happiness. Again malls are covered by sale stickers and full of festival flickers.
But it has been proven that: - “Rays of sun can’t spread brightness on sides at a time. Shadow will never leave the shine alone. Today, 5 out 10 people are complaining: - “world has changed. Goodness disappeared. Charm is missing. People are carrying plastic smiles. “AB PEHLE JAISA NAHI HAI.”
Yes, I agree to whatever stated above. I went to my terrace to see the lightening and believe me I couldn’t enjoy it. Smoke was disturbing me. It was all foggy. The scene is seeking my attention. Pollution and population have damaged the beauty of city. I observed shadows running and hiding their selves behind crowds.
When I was a child, things were different. Culture and trend were different. Rangoli and family get together were most advisable routines during DIWALI.
But suddenly things have been changed. Nearby my house, there are many places which I have never seen before. Parks are replaced by mega malls. Narrowed streets – from which one can hardly walk through and pass through the crowd and when I use “crowd”, that doesn’t mean togetherness. Every individual in that crowd is alone, frustrated, dissatisfied, lost and sad. Isn’t it surprising or more precisely shocking? In the festival of happiness and light, why a common man is so much frustrated and dissatisfied. Why he is hiding himself in the crowd of malls, streets and markets. Why he is running from togetherness.
Let me take a pause for a moment and let me request you all to think about the reason behind such frustration and dissatisfaction. Let us find out the reason behind the emptiness we can find in 6 out of 10 houses during this festival season. I have concluded few reasons. Let me share them all with you.
Recession, Inflation and Rat race; these are the most stressful subjects and reasons for frustration and dissatisfaction, a common man is dealing with these days. Between every dewfall to star fall, a common man faces many critical situations. Light bills, telephone bills, luxuries, petrol prices, education fees structures, donation, taxes and above all- social expectations. Uff, countless wits which a poor common man, helplessly, single handedly faces every day and at the end when bed wants him to fill it, upcoming expenses and expectations certainly become night mares for him. What he can do? How he can survive from such situations.
Too many questions and a single brain, with no solutions runs to find answers and when he observes the world with hopeful eyes, every day he finds the world with its own questions and issues like global warming, recession and lack of global resources. Where to go? What to do? How to come out of this cluster? Such situations have made a common man an optimistic. Today's Scenario:-“God Produces Humans each moment and Human produces GODs in return.” Each day he goes to religious places and shows out all his frustration in front of god. And because of this optimism, even small achievements are taking him to cloud number nine today. This is not at all beneficial. Such blind faith is taking him to stock markets, foreign money and batting; which are end of the day creating uncountable jerks in his mind.
Now you decide; is it possible for him to afford such huge expenses? Today, a common man is as helpless as a piece of lemon. First it will be crushed out, than it will be folded 180 degree out and will be crushed out again. And when it will be of no use, they will wash dishes with it. Whole the month a common man works like the lemon piece and earns money and within a week, bank balance touches the figure zero.
Still, NGOs and World Bank want him to concentrate on global issues. How can one spread light in the neighborhood when he himself is suffering from the dark? Still he is strong enough to maintain plastic smile on his face during this festival season. Yes I am taking such things emotionally and I too know that philosophically anyone can deny my arguments.
But these aren’t small issues. Recession, Inflation and dissatisfaction are the reasons which are developing devils inside our brain. War, rap, robbery, suicides, terrorism, secularism; are reactions of the frustration which is increasing day by day. Globalization has given many reasons to a common man to cry.
But this is a circular dilemma, we can run from it, we can try to face it but we can’t come out of it completely as we are not animals, we are humans with beating humanity inside.
New Year is here again and a coin can’t be possible with a single side and so this year will bring lots of reasons, problems, bottlenecks and wits along with happiness, opportunities, success and achievements. So be brave , be a learner and perform like a stunner”
