A Letter From An Ignored Innocence

Friends,

We are lucky enough as we have a luxurious life. We all are blessed by almighty, we have parents with whom we can talk about our life, like-dislike, about our basic needs. They are like longitude and latitude of our life. Our mentors are responsible for what we are. They have polished us with the experience, love, care and guidance. Have ever imagined your life without them? clammy hands right?

But have you ever tried to know about the life a child from some slum area is living. Just imagine your life without money, luxury and the most important part of your life:- Dreams & Goals. Here I have tried to penned down mind state of a municipality school boy.

I am not writing this for any kind of sympathy. If my words are effective enough, try to help those unheard voices. Join NGO and social organizations. They have eyes and so they have dreams. they too have goals. they need guidance. Read this letter and talk with your self.

===========================================
Hello,
I am an ordinary child studying in a municipality school. When I joined this school, on the very first day, my principle had told us:- " this is not a school but my alternate home. And yes it’s indeed a n alternate home for me and I have some strong reasons. My class room is as congested as my 10 X10 bungalow; ceiling fan is as dirty as my school dress. But that is least important for me as for me life is to learn with what we have, not to earn what we don’t have.

For me and students like me, our very own life is the biggest teacher. I know what need means, my stomach is witness. I know what compromise means, my broken dreams are witness. Sometimes I feel that my class teacher is a liar as once she told me water has no taste, I have tested my tears and they are salty. But yes I am hungry, hungry of love, care, pamper, support. We are having 10X10” room only not by force of luck but by choice, as we are trying to reduce the communication gap created by destiny between me and my parents. I am like that blind man who needs just a guide to cross the road, who needs one hand who can give me support.

Today I am extremely excited as I got a chance to invite you all. You know I am very much thankful to god, I was expecting a small candle with which I can find a way to reach my dreams and goals but look, he has sent you all as angels in my life. I will not say thank you as “ Thanks & Sorry” are not words for friendship and You are my DOST first and then a mentor. There is one shop next to my street but my parents generally avoid that way because they are scared, what they will do if I will cry and ask to buy toys for me. Whenever I see a child of my age living in luxury, I am feeling myself ignored by the world.

I agree we are poor, but of money not of mind. I am wealthy as I have lots of precious dreams in my bag, I have lots of goals to achieve, I have many things to learn and last but not the least, I have you as a DOST, as a mentor, as a guide. I have you a turning point of my life.

My descry eyes are waiting for you. Please go and join NGO, talk with people who live for us, who work for us. its just a meeting you call but for me it’s a starting point. I am lucky as someone has told me that “there is no U-turn as far as journey of life is concern but you are going to give me a turning point at the starting point. Come and bless me with you helping hands.

Forgive me if you hurt.
You DOST,
Ignored innocence

Unheard Voices!! (Orphan's Cry)

“Walking on the moon with those shining stars,
Dancing in the stream of chocolate and those flying cars,
I am the king of my very own dream land,
But,
“I “an individual is incomplete without your helping hands”
.
.
These lines are not just a group of sentences but unheard voices- requests from orphans. Orphan is one for whom dark dirty pillow is mother’s lap, he is the one for whom that unwashed, weird smelled Bed sheets is his father’s touch, he is the one for whom world starts from one corner of the room and ends with the gate of orphanage, he is the one who doesn’t know what does brother mean?, what does sister mean?, he is the one, who is unattached with the meaning of goal, challenge, success, failure, pain, love and many more verbs and adjectives. He just knows the meaning of loneliness. He is the one who has number of questions and confusion in his mind; he is the one who has number of qualities in his brains. He too has lines in his hands. He too has his own god and own way of worship.

But unfortunately he is one of those who are unable to chase this rat race because of what? Money?, Loneliness?, Lack of knowledge? ; No, Because of guidance. Imagine for a while: if you are lost somewhere in a dark cave, than there isn’t any difference between you and a completely blind man, but what if you will find a ray of light, a ray of hope, a ray of guidance? You will try to catch it and at the end of the day you somehow will catch it. You will survive because of guidance, a pointer and that is what you need.

There is a wide difference between reflection and reaction, when you react, it will be reflected, but when you reflect, there is no need for reaction. We all are a part of a mosaic called world, and so there are some hidden duties we have to perform. A small candle is sometimes more effective than almighty sun. Everyone has an ability to boost up someone, to hold someone when he/she need. One can be a good pointer if he really wants to be. Orphans are bulbs without the power; power of care, guidance, sight, directions. They are like those trees in desert; people just love to take photo with it, but they will never bother to pour it with water of love & care. This is the biggest cunningness: - “A tree needs shadow today”.

For those who live in well furnished house full of luxuries and comfort, these paragraphs are not more than few lines on a white paper, but I am writing this not to show how poor an orphan’s life is, or I am not writing this to secure any kind of sympathy. I am just requesting you to hold their hands, they need love and not luxury, they need care and not comfort; they need you and your time.

A Slap: - “Once A blind orphan asked to taste and identify the thing examiner will give him, after a sip from the glass of water, when he couldn’t identify it, examiner said: - “My boy, it’s nothing but a glass of water. Very next moment boy smiled and replied: - “sir, you are mistaken; it was not a taste of water as it was not salty at all”
